Wuchang

Forgotten Village Under Moonlight:
Your first real test comes early — a decaying village bathed in eerie moonlight, crawling with corrupted humans and early mutations of the Feathering plague. It’s a classic “don’t trust any corner” area. You’ll find dead ends that aren’t really dead ends, rooftops you can run across, and houses you can enter — often filled with hidden enemies waiting for you to get comfortable.

There’s no map, so exploration is trial-and-error. But smart players who poke around will find side paths, locked gates with late-game shortcuts, and hidden enemies guarding early weapon upgrades.

The Monolith Grounds
Midway through the game, you hit an ancient graveyard filled with endless undead — and not in the cinematic, “wooo spooky” way. If you don’t disable the corrupted monoliths buried in the area, the enemies will keep respawning. You’ll be forced to balance risk and reward: do you push forward through waves just to take down the source, or backtrack and find the safer angle?

This area ramps up the pressure and forces you to master Skyborn Might combos to stay in control. It’s here where your ability to chain dodges and weapon abilities can make or break your run.

The Pit of Failed Experiments
This mission drops you into a massive underground lab, long abandoned, now home to twisted horrors that were never meant to exist. It’s visually oppressive — dimly lit, with cages, chains, and remnants of lost research. You’ll find human remains, mutated birds, and combinations of the two.

Midway through, you’ll hit a miniboss that’s basically a failed fusion experiment — huge, grotesque, fast. And what makes it worse? It shows up again later. Stronger.

 Rebel Stronghold Ambush
Here you’re sent into a rebel-controlled encampment — traps everywhere, snipers in towers, cannon barrages from off-screen enemies. It’s less about monsters and more about dealing with ruthless humans who fight dirty. This mission forces you to rethink how you approach line-of-sight and verticality. You’ll climb towers, disable ballistae, and turn the enemy’s own traps against them.

It’s also the first time you meet a recurring human mini-boss — an elite swordsman with his own set of parry mechanics, unlike the more monstrous enemies elsewhere.

General Mission Flow & Design Highlights
Non-linear exploration: You can often access higher-level areas early. But it’s risky, and the game won’t stop you.

Optional bosses: Some of the nastiest fights are off the beaten path — hidden behind vague lore clues or tucked into side caves.

Rewarding exploration: Side missions and detours often reward you with unique gear or costumes, not just currency.

Multi-layered zones: Many areas loop back into themselves, revealing new routes as you unlock shortcuts, which becomes crucial during long runs between save points.

Boss encounters with build impact: Certain bosses will push you toward new builds — for example, one boss is easier if you spec into Clash resistance and knockback immunity. Others reward magic-heavy builds with less risk.
